This heavy gauge weld-tab thermocouple is designed for use in limited space, where long-term surface measurement are required. The low-profile, stainless steel weld tab is only 3/8 inch high, 1/2 inch wide and 1 inch long, but the thick, 0.1 inch tab can be easily welded to your surface. Typically available in Thermocouple types K and J, it can also be made into an RTD to suit your requirements.
Two designs are available, one having only high temperature leads (thermocouple only), the other having a stainless steel stem coming from the weld-tab. The entire device has a range of from (-) 300 to (+) 1600 Degrees F. Response time is about 15 seconds, accuracy is better than 99 percent of reading.
Applications include tanks and fluid lines, furnace profile studies, engine manifolds - wherever limited space, and accurate, conveniently installed measurements are required.
