The Adjustable Probe unit includes an adjustable compression fitting with standard pipe threads. The probe may be from 3/16" OD and up (standard sizes are 1/4 and 3/8 inch). Length can be from one inch to as much as 24 inches long (standard length of four inches). Probe may be made from most any metal, plastic, or phenolic compound. This style is ideally suited for gas & liquid surface and immersion applications.
The Flush Mounted unit (not shown) contains the Right-Angle Ribbon on the end of the threaded thermowell. The thermowell is of stainless steel with straight threads (7/16-20 NF-2 by 13/32" long). It incorporates an O-ring seal on the "cold" side fo the wall, creating a seal to prevent fluid or gas leak. The O-ring is good to 450 degrees Fahrenheit. At higher temperatures the O-ring must be removed and replaced by a copper washer. This flush mounted unit is ideal for applications requiring gas or liquid temperatures at the inner surface of a container wall.
The Fixed Probe (not shown) contains a 1/4" OD stainless steel probe on the end of a straight thread mounting bushing (size of threads: 1/2-20 NF x 3/4" length). The Fixed Probe unit is ideal for measuring gas & liquid temperatures inside a container under high pressures. Probe length is standard at four inches, though this can be changed per your requirement.
